A burpee is not only one of the best fat burning, functional cardio exercises that you can do, but it is also a full body strengthening exercise. With each burpee, you’re working your arms, chest, quads, hamstrings, butt and abs. It pushes your heart rate up very quickly and yes, they totally suck! But, they are so good for you!

Even though I am no beginner to the fitness and training world, I certainly have a fair amount of extra weight that I am carrying around, plus I fell of the wagon for some time, so I am doing a half burpee (which is tremendously easier than a full one). Either way, it still has the same effect, just not as much. Try doing at least 3 – 4 sets of 10 with each workout, you will be amazed at the results.
Once you feel that you’re managing with the half burpees, you can do full burpees in order to increase the intensity.
